The Denver Nuggets Do An Absolutely Hellish Workout at Red Rocks Every Summer

September 8, 2017

Going to a concert at Red Rocks is enough of a trek but how about working out about 1,000 feet above Mile High Denver? That’s what the Denver Nuggets do every summer and as the season winds down, the team held one of their final workouts there before readying for the start of their season.

Here’s the gist: Longtime strength coach Steve Hess designed the eight-week program with a variety of exercises around the famed amphitheatre including climbing the stairs as well as the rocky wall that lines the sides. The high-altitude workout is grueling but does pay off late in the season as no other team has quite the advantage like the Nuggets do.
