Song Premiere: The Infamous Stringdusters “See How Far You’ve Come” (feat. Sara Watkins)

January 11, 2016

The Infamous Stringdusters will release their sixth full-length studio album on February 5 via Compass Records. The aptly-titled Ladies & Gentlemen finds the five-piece bluegrass group joined by a variety of female guest vocalists including Joss Stone, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Nicki Bluhm, Abigail Washburn, Lee Ann Womack, Sara Jarosz, Joan Osborne and Jennifer Hartswick. Today we offer the premiere stream of “See How Far You’ve Come” which features Sara Watkins (Nickel Creek/Watkins Family Hour).

The Stringdusters’ fiddle player Jeremy Garrett tells Relix, “’See How Far You’ve Come’ was a song that I penned with Jon Weisberger, a frequent co-writing partner of mine. Jon has helped write several Duster cuts over the years. It was an idea that we wanted to convey in a song to make sure to take the time to look around you as you journey through this world. Sometimes it’s important to note the strides you’ve made in life so you can truly see how far you’ve come. “

Ladies & Gentlemen is now available for pre-order. The quintet will support the new record with an extensive national tour that kicks off on February 8 in Telluride.
