Song Premiere: Salt Petal “Disco Rats”

Today we premiere a new song from Salt Petal. The Los Angeles-based group’s engaging sound melds Argentinian folk, Brazilian tropicalia, cumbia and soaring surf rock. The group’s new album, Rare Hearts, set for release on April 28, was recorded at Seattle’s London Bridge Studios with producer Eric Lilavois (Saint Motel, Atlas Genius) and mixed by Raymond Richards (Local Natives, Avid Dancer). Salt Petal tells Relix, “When writing ‘Disco Rats,’ we were trying to simplify and stop being distracted by destructive thoughts. Trying to help each other let worries and division go and see the beauty in the most basic simple things we have around us.”
