On June 16  Yep Roc Records will release the new record from Virginia-based psych-rockers Major And The Monbacks. Produced by fellow Virginian Matthew E. White (Natalie Prass, Flo Morrissey), the album captures the band live at Richmond’s Montrose Recording. Moonlight Anthems incorporates elements of Americana and southern psychedelia with high vocals harmonies.

Today we premiere the title track, which the group’s Neal Friedman explains, “is us trying to make a country funk song. It’s technically a road song, and the first Monback song with flutes.”

Major And The Monbacks will embark on an extensive tour in support of the record, which is now available for pre-order. The band’s tour itinerary and the album’s tracklisting appear below the stream.
