Song Premiere: Langhorne Slim “Funny Feelin’”

October 18, 2017

Langhorne Slim will release his new album Lost At Last Vol. 1 on November 10 via Dualtone and today we premiere a song from the record “Funny Feelin’,” which Sean Scolnick (aka Langhorne Slim) said pays homage to two of the most famous blues musicians of all time.

“I was in Catskill, NY working on new songs for Lost at Last Vol. 1 and decided one night to take the long drive from Catskill back to where I’m from in Pennsylvania to visit family,” Scolnick told Relix. “I listened to this incredible version of Junior Kimbrough’s “Meet Me in the City” and a ton of Ted Hawkins the whole way there. When I got to my Mom’s place in the middle of the night, I started playing this one. It’s an ode to both Junior and Ted. Two true masters. I hope I did ’em justice.”
