Renowned guitarist Kaki King will mark her first release in over two years on September 22 with a live set from Berklee College of Music. Recorded in the Red Room at Cafe 939 in Boston in April of 2017, the release finds King performing new arrangements of her solo guitar compositions, reimagined with the addition of strings and woodwinds. Today, we premiere one of those songs “Hababout.” 

“This track was my first time writing something for just woodwinds, trumpet, and guitar,” King told Relix. “I really like the openness, simplicity, and the fact that it’s just four instruments. It is supposed to be a kind of lullaby for my daughter who says “hababout” instead of ‘howabout.'”
