Trampled By Turtles’ Dave Simonett will repackage himself as a part of Dead Man Winter, a new group formed in wake of TBT’s hiatus. Simonett and Dead Man Winter will release Furnace on January 27 and today, Relix is proud to premiere the band’s single “This House Is On Fire,” available to stream below.  

On the tune, Simonett says, “‘This House Is On Fire’ is an attempt to describe a terribly helpless and confused feeling. A situation brought on by my own actions but realizing I had no way for which to prepare for the outcome. I wrote this song when I was heartbroken and extremely angry at myself and lost in a giant sea. This was the first time in my life that I could not find a place that felt like home. I guess I’d taken it for granted for so long and was surprised at how much I missed that feeling.”
