Three up and three down for Phish in Vegas so far, with the Halloween finale imminent tonight and thus far, each night has joyously started with a song from their Chilling, Thrilling Sounds of the Haunted House set played on that very stage in 2014. Thanks to an elaborate stage setup (Poster Nutbag’s tombstone!!), actors and that pesky narration, Phish crafted a spectacle worthy of the Vegas stage. 

Whether it’s the “THEY ATTACK” clip from “The Birds” or “Your Trip is Short” from “Martian Monster,” both of which have become rallying calls in the last couple of years, the Chilling, Thrilling set just seems to get better with age. What Phish will do tonight is anyone’s guess, but the fact remains what they created two years ago ranks as one of their most innovative and creative sets of music in their 30 years as a band.
