November 25, 2014

Ryan Adams closed down the current leg of his tour with a show at New York City’s Hammerstein Ballroom alongside opener Butch Walker, who spent the majority of the recent leg opening for Adams. Walker is supporting his forthcoming album Afraid of Ghosts, due out in February.

Along with his band The Shining, Adams moved through a 23-song setlist that included cuts from his latest self-titled effort as well as past hits like “New York, New York,” “When the Stars Go Blue,” “Everybody Knows” and “My Winding Wheel.” The Jacksonville, NC singer-songwriter also dipped into material from his time with The Cardinals, offering up “Magick,” “A Kiss Before I Go,” “Crossed Out Name” and more. Walker and Adams collaborated on the final song of the night, “Come Pick Me Up.” Marc Millman shared some images from the show.
