Remembering Eddie Harsch: Black Crowes’ 2004 Jammys Reunion, Set with Jimmy Page

November 4, 2016

Today the sad news came down that Eddie Harsch, former keyboardist of The Black Crowes has passed away. Harsch was a tenured member of the Crowes since 1991 before his departure in 2006 and was scheduled to join the newly formed Magpie Salute with Rich Robinson and other members of the Crowes.

To remember Harsch and his work, we share a few clips below. Here’s a look at the Jammy Awards on March 16, 2004, Harsch was part of the evening’s biggest surprise as during Gov’t Mule’s set he emerged along with fellow Black Crowes members Chris Robinson and Rich Robinson for Sometimes Salvation. It had been was their first performance together since June of 2001.

Here’s a recent appearance with Rich Robinson at the Iron Horse in Northampton from this past August as the two began performing together again.

Here’s a full show from 2000 during the Crowes tour with Jimmy Page.
