Along with Trey Anastasio with Tedeschi Trucks Band, the other big guitarist sit-in came on Friday night when John Mayer once again popped up with Joe Russo’s Almost Dead for a segment at the Brooklyn Bowl. 

Mayer emerged for “Althea,” perching himself next to Scott Metzger for some dual-guitar theatrics that led into “Here Comes Sunshine,” “New Minglewood Blues,” “Such a Night” and an anthemic “Franklin’s Tower” to bring their second collaboration together to a close.
