July 20, 2017

Tonight in Pittsburgh as Phish barrels towards Madison Square Garden for thirteen nights, the band continued to stack the deck with another debut. This time, it was “Mr. Completely” played for the first time since July 15, 2003 when it was first debuted by the band in Utah.

The Trey Anastasio jam vehicle emerged out of the second set opener “Punch You in the Eye” and marks a 380-show gap between performances, the last of which included a foray into “Low Rider” as well as “Big Black Furry Creature from Mars,” “Buried Alive” and “Ha Ha Ha” in one of the most creative segments during their 2003 summer tour.
