Pearl Jam’s ‘Ten’ at 25: Watch the Band Play Iconic Debut in Full

Today marks the official 25th anniversary of Ten, Pearl Jam’s incredible introduction to the world and one of the best debut albums ever made.

By now, much has been written about the Seattle rockers’ debut. You probably know that some of the band members weren’t all that thrilled with the mix (producer Brendan O’Brien remixed the album for a 2009 reissue) and also that it remains their most successful record despite being followed by very impressive albums in Vs., Vitalogy, No Code and 1998’s Yield.

Ten remains the band’s most iconic collection of songs, with every tune turning into a live staple at some point with many (“Even Flow,” “Alive,” “Porch,” “Release”) still remaining as such to this very day. All of this makes what the band did on April 29 at the Wells Fargo Arena in Philadelphia all the more special.

Rolling into their tenth sellout at the Philadelphia arena, just seven years after they threw a four-night blowout to close down The Spectrum, Pearl Jam opened with Ten‘s “Once,” then “Even Flow” and then “Alive,” revealing to the crowd they’d be performing the album front to back.

As the 25th anniversary of Ten arrives, watch that stunning performance below.
