Never Leave Us, Great Went “Gin”

Twenty years ago today, Phish birthed one of the very best versions of “Bathtub Gin” ever.
With opening night of their Great Went festival in the books, Phish settled into the second night and delivered one landmark jam after the next, hitting its peak with the enthralling, completely relentless “Gin” that followed an unjustly forgotten “Down with Disease.”
The “Gin” lives on and should never be forgotten, so we celebrate that today. Next year on July 29, we’ll celebrate the Riverport Gin and officially fight over which was better.
