Needless to Say, Phil Lesh was Feeling Whatever Marcus King was Playing on Guitar

November 21, 2017

Phil Lesh got a healthy dose of some of the best budding Southern rock and roll during a moment at Dauphin Street Studios in Mobile, AL when Marcus King dazzled him on the guitar to produce a reaction worthy of a photo.

The photo, posted by Eric Kranso, perfectly captures those moments in the studio that can be completely unexpected. We'll have to wait on word as to why exactly these three (and more, surely) found themselves in a Mobile studio recently. Krasno of course was on the road with Lesh as a part of his Terrapin Family Band run that stopped in Nashville, Chicago and elsewhere.

Needless to say, whatever King was playing got the Lesh stamp of approval.
