Musicians Descend on New Orleans to Kick Off Jazz Fest Week (A Gallery)

April 25, 2014

As Jazz Fest prepares to officially kick off today, musicians took to the stage last night in anticipation of the event for a variety of performances throughout New Orleans. Tommy Malone and Eric Lindell took turns at various stages at Louisiana Music Factory while Jon Clearly played a solo set at d.b.a. The night was capped with Dirty Dozen Brass Band performing at the famed Tipitina’s. Fans will take to the fairgrounds today for a slate of music that includes Santana, The Avett Brothers, Public Enemy, Jason Isbell and more.

Dino Perrucci was on hand to capture some images from the pre-Jazz Fest festivities.
