Listen to Widespread Panic Cover Leonard Cohen’s “First We Take Manhattan” and “Hallelujah”

November 14, 2016

On New Year’s Eve in 2015, Widespread Panic closed their first set at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta with a pair of Leonard Cohen tunes in “First We Take Manhattan” and “Hallelujah.” Upon the sad news of Cohen’s death, Panic has shared a clean copy of the former from that very night. The video of “Hallelujah” was released shortly after the conclusion of the run.

Cohen passed away on November 7 at the age of 82. While no specific cause of death has been confirmed yet, cancer is believed to be a contributing cause of his death.
