Listen to Jack White’s Expansive _Acoustic Recordings_ Compilation

September 9, 2016

Jack White’s career-spanning collection of acoustic recordings is finally here as the guitarist, who remains on a hiatus from the road, compiled 26 tunes from the last 18 years of his musical career. Among the highlights, acoustic versions of White Stripes classics like “Apple Blossom,” “You’ve Got Her in Your Pocket” as well as the previously unreleased “City Lights.” White also delves into his time with the Raconteurs, offering a “bluegrass version” of “Top Yourself” along with numerous selections from his solo career.

As a companion to the release, White has also launched a nifty timeline on his website with historical context to go along with the tunes, so you can quite literally trace White’s ascension from a furniture guy in Detroit to an all-world rock and roller, rising to incredible heights with The White Stripes, Raconteurs, Dead Weather and his solo work.
