Kris Myers Leads Umphrey’s McGee Through Lounge “Nopener” in Detroit

Umphrey’s McGee closed out their run at The Fillmore in Detroit in the most laid-back fashion possible as Kris Myers took the mic, Jake Cinninger went to drums and the band took a stroll through “Nopener,” the usually super-metally tune with references to balls, piss and beer.
This time, “Nopener” was a tender ballad fit for a jazz club (still with necessary references to the aforementioned balls, piss and beer) as the group played the “lounge version” of the song for the first time since Halloween 2015.
