John Mayer Appears on ‘Kimmel’ in Disguise as Hank “The Hawk” Knutley

March 1, 2017

John Mayer is making the rounds promoting his new solo album The Search for Everything  and did so in disguise, at least in part, on Jimmy Kimmel’s show. Mayer appeared as “Hank The Hawk Knutley” with Kimmel’s house band, along with his dog Henry.

As Mayer jokes, he got the nickname “The Hawk” from a “sex move and then a fighting style.” Kimmel eventually coaxes Knutley to perform a cut from his new live album Knutley in Your Face before exposing Mayer under the disguise. He then, along with his band, delivered a new track from the album “Still Feel Like Your Man.”
