Jeff Tweedy Sings Stephen Colbert a Lullaby, Wilco Perform “Random Name Generator”

Wilco took over Stephen Colbert’s Late Show last night as the band readies for two shows at the newly reopened Kings Theatre in Brooklyn beginning tonight. The whole band took the stage for a performance of “Random Name Generator” from their new album Star Wars, marking the first late night appearance in support of the record.

Before the show ended and Stephen Colbert tucked himself into bed for the evening, he called on Jeff Tweedy to sing him a little lullaby. In a moment that is only rivaled in cuteness by Dave Matthews singing with Grover on Sesame Street, Tweedy, Colbert and his stuffed animal friends played the show out with a goodnight tune.
