Jackie Venson is a stirring guitar player and soulful vocalist who is currently on tour with fellow Austin native Gary Clark Jr. Her latest studio effort, Transcends, will be released this Friday, September 29. The EP was produced by Michael Ramos (John Mellencamp, Los Lonely Boys) and mixed by Boo Mitchell (John Mayer, Mark Ronson, Mississippi All Stars).

Today we premiere Transcends, which should continue to expand her swelling fanbase. Venson tells Relix, “I finally am focusing in on finding my voice as a songwriter and this EP is representative of that. I also have wanted to make a project centered around the more philosophical forms of love. Still gotta have that guitar though so it’s all compromises being made. I feel like a new artist after this recording.”
