It’s Friday and Charlie Brown is Rocking Out to Rush’s “2112”

It’s the Friday before Memorial Day weekend and, at least in our neck of the woods, the sun is shining. And what better way to celebrate than to see good ol’ Charlie Brown and your favorite
Peanuts characters shred away the last hours of your work week with Rush’s epic “2112” suite?

That’s right. The internet is truly the gift that keeps on giving even when you really didn’t ask for anything, and this one is a gem. Garren Lazar,
who apparently does this a lot, has cut up Peanuts scenes to pretty perfectly match over twenty minutes of Rush goodness.

My personal favorite part comes around 18:31 when, after Charlie Brown/Alex Lifeson’s face-melting guitar solo, Linus absolutely belts out Geddy Lee’s anguished vocals, screaming “My life blood/ Spills over” while clutching his blanket. It’s really something.

Watch below (h/t A.V. Club), along with similar take on Rush’s “Tom Sawyer” from Lazar (with a great Peanuts intro this time). See more of his  Peanuts music mashups here
