“Is Twiddle Playing Today or Tomorrow?” Scott Rogowsky Trolls Music Fans at Governors Ball

In early June, HQ Trivia host Scott Rogowsky descended upon New York City’s Governors Ball, and all he wanted to know was if RAQ was onstage.

For the uninitiated, Rogowsky has long been a darling of the jam community, sliding Phish references into his day job at HQ Trivia, a live quiz show. However, his #ScottDoesGovBall videos could be his greatest comedic outing to date. There’s a special kind of hilarity in asking a teenager – who just wants to see Travis Scott or Eminem – about Gov’t Mule.

“Most people don’t even realize what I’m doing—they probably think I’m being fanciful with my word choice when I say, ‘I’m broadcasting live from Gamehendge,'” Rogowsky told Relix about his ongoing references to the jamband world. “Sometimes I wonder, ‘Are people Googling that and trying to figure out what Gamehendge is? What is the land of the big baboon? What is he talking about?’ So to me, it’s funny. And I just love that people get a kick out of it.”

As the festival scene continues to skew toward the pop and hip-hop wold, we at Relix would like to commend Rogowsky on his exploits. Every festival needs someone yelling “What time is Aquarium Rescue Unit?!”
