Queens, NY Rock Quintet Hollis Brown took to the stage in a very exclusive showcase for music supervisors, TV/Film reps, and industry who were in town for Sync Summit and Indie Week a few days ago in NYC. The showcase celebrated the band’s signing to Raleigh Music Group. Chicken sliders courtesy of Hill Country BBQ, and Duke bourbon flowed all night in a setting that played a magical role as shiny guitars were hanging from the walls and the southern country, classic rock and Americana twang bouncing from them. The D’Angelico Showroom couldn’t have been a more perfect backdrop.

A short and sweet set showed off the band’s versatility and style. The audience sipped Duke Spirits, fine Kentucky Bourbon masterfully curated from hand written notes found in John Wayne’s desk 30 years after he passed away. From a set list of Rain Dance, Wait For Me Virginia, Run Right to You, Cold City, Hey Baby and John Wayne, the Duke himself would have been proud.
