Here’s Five Songs Dave and Tim Should Play This Summer

June 7, 2017

Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds are about halfway through their acoustic run that replaces the annual full band summer tradition, as DMB sits out 2017 for some well-deserved rest.

The acoustic duo are known for giving a unique interpretation of Matthews’ catalog, stripping down some of the largest arrangements to their bare bones. It’s a truly intimate setting and one that should signal a deep dive into the catalog. But through last night’s show where 23 of the 26 songs appeared in the last three shows, it seems like the setlists might start to feel a little stale.

With that, here are five songs that translate all too well to the Dave and Tim setting that should warrant some stage time this summer.

“I’ll Back You Up”

“Captain”

“The Dreaming Tree”

“Seek Up”

“Angel From Montgomery”
