Good Guy Noel Gallagher Donates “Don’t Look Back in Anger” Royalties to Manchester Victims

While the rumors of an Oasis reunion heated up prior to the One Love Manchester concert to honor the victims of the horrible attack at an Ariana Grande concert, the only Gallagher brother to appear was Liam, who performed Oasis’ “Live Forever” at the show. 

Gallagher then took to Twitter after the show to call out brother Noel for not showing up. “Noels out of the fucking country, weren’t we all love, get on a fucking plane and play your tunes for the kids you sad fuck,” he tweeted.

While this criticism seemed a bit unfair, as it turns out Noel secretly donated his royalties received from recent playings of the band’s “Don’t Look Back in Anger” to help the families of those killed and affected by the Manchester terror attack. NME reported that Gallagher donated the royalties to the families long before any benefit show was 

If that wasn’t enough, Coldplay’s Chris Martin took to Twitter to also reveal that Noel gave him his blessing to play the song at the benefit show. “Everyone knew in advance you couldn’t be there physically, so thank you for being there in spirit,” he wrote.

Surely, there won’t be any potato jokes lobbed Noel’s way from brother Liam this time around.
