File this under “Things That Were Great in the 90s”: Counting Crows frontman Adam Duritz and Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr are friends, apparently, and took in a college basketball game in California as the Oregon Ducks visited University of California.

The get together didn’t stop after the game as Duritz accompanied Kerr to the Warriors’ next game, calling it “Take Your Rockstar to Work Day” on the band’s Instagram. Duritz hit Kerr’s pregame press conference and even got into Oracle early enough to watch one of the best warmups in sports as Steph Curry put on his dazzling dribbling display which Duritz was able to catch a video of during his time in the arena. Surely, Curry and Duritz didn’t discuss his Mumford & Sons fandom.

And a quick search on Twitter shows that Kerr’s Counting Crows fandom goes back a couple of years. One can only wonder if Michael Jordan let Kerr play August & Everything After in the locker room before a Finals game.
