Foo Fighters Unveil Track “The Line” Presumably Not About Darius Washington Jr.

September 7, 2017

Foo Fighters and Phish now have something in common as the band unveiled their new song “The Line” and from what we can tell, it is not about Memphis basketball player Darius Washington Jr. (although lyrical parallels can be drawn).

The song leans a lot closer to the typical Foo Fighters sound, with driving guitars and a big arena rock chorus leading the way. The previous two songs released, “Run” and “The Sky is a Neighborhood” found the band dipping into the weirder side of their sound, with “Run” fusing aggressive metal with rigid sections and “Sky” ranking as one of their most psychedelic offerings.

Concrete and Gold arrives on September 15. Listen below.
