Father John Misty Makes the Impending Revolution Sound So Fun

May 10, 2017

Father John Misty is touring around what could very well be the best album of the year, the incredibly powerful Pure Comedy  that offers a healthy dose of social commentary as you’ve probably come to expect from Josh Tillman’s FJM records.

The centerpiece of the record is the anthemic “Things It Would Have Been Helpful to Know Before the Revolution” as Tillman sings about the impending doom that society is facing in the song.  Tillman appeared on CBC radio to perform the song as he recalled his Fleet Foxes days by hopping on the drums along with a pianist.

In typical Tillman fashion, the fall of modern society sounds as fun as ever, as he goes from the drums to dramatic frontman to end the song in grand fashion. Watch below.
