Exposed: The Life and Times of Gregg Allman (A Gallery)

August 9, 2017

Dino Perrucci stood in the pit for some of Gregg Allman’s most seminal latter-day moments. A New York-based photographer known for his loving onstage shots and candid offstage images of Allman, Warren Haynes and the other members of the Allman Brothers family, Perrucci was a fixture at the Allman Brothers Band’s annual Beacon Theatre residency, as well as at shows and festivals throughout the country.

“When I first heard At Fillmore East as a teenager, it changed everything for me musically and helped shape my future,” Perrucci says. “To be able to document so many of their shows later on in life and get to know them was a dream and an honor. Brother Gregory was a gentleman and one of the finest blues singers I’ve ever heard. The road does not go on forever, but these memories will.”

Here is a selection of Perrucci’s top picks from his many moments with the legendary Allman Brothers singer and organist.
