Dwyane Wade Shares Emotional Thoughts Upon Finding Out That He Was Prince’s Favorite Basketball Player
Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade doesn’t cry often, but he did shed a tear when a 2012 interview with Prince was unearthed where the Purple One discussed basketball ahead of the NBA Finals that year that pitted the Oklahoma City Thunder against Wade, LeBron and the Miami Heat.
When asked about his thoughts on the series, Prince noted that “Dwyane Wade is my favorite player, but the Thunder are my favorite team.” As word of this got back to the Heat guard earlier this week, he took to Twitter to share his reaction to finding out he was Prince’s favorite player. There may have been countless tributes to Prince in the last week, but this tribute from Prince seems to have touched Wade.
Prince had a good eye for talent, as Wade averaged just under 23 points in that series against the Thunder, leading the Heat with LeBron James to a crushing 4-1 series win over Oklahoma City.
So yesterday i wasn’t crying like some may think but i just listened to an interview with Damaris Lewis calling up Prince..Prince!!
