Dead & Company surely grew some jamming legs towards the end of 2016, and one of those exploratory moments came in Wheatland, CA as they dug into an “Uncle John’s Band” as the California sun set behind them. 

The band will look to build on momentum like this on their upcoming tour, which kicks off May 27 in Las Vegas. In an interview with Relix, Bob Weir expressed the desire for Dead & Company to loosen up somewhat in 2017 by saying that the band “is not quite there yet to where we can start relaxing and just working off memory and seeing what feels appropriate any any given point, but I’d be surprised if Dead & Company isn’t ready to do that soon.”
