Dave Matthews and Trombone Shorty Perform “Everyday” in New Orleans Classroom

May 5, 2017

Dave Matthews and Trombone Shorty surprised a class of students in New Orleans at McDonogh City Park Academy as a part of Turnaround Arts, a program that works to bring the arts to schools.

Matthews and Shorty, who are both in town to play Jazz Fest this weekend (Matthews and acoustic collaborator Tim Reynolds play on the fairgrounds today), took some time to entertain the kids with acoustic renditions of DMB’s own “Everyday” complete with a solo from the trombone player.

Watch below.

Turnaround Arts also posted this clip of Matthews and Andrews jamming along in the classroom with the caption: “When your Turnaround Arts School is in New Orleans, some amazing things can happen!”
