Chris Cornell’s Final Song Was As Powerful As You’d Expect

Chris Cornell took his final bow last night as the iconic singer passed away unexpectedly at the age of 52 following Soundgarden’s show at the Fox Theatre in Detroit. 

The final song of that evening is chilling in hindsight, as the band tore through Badmotorfinger‘s heavy offering “Slaves & Bulldozers” that also included a foray into Zeppelin’s “In My Time of Dying.” As difficult as the events that occurred after the show are, Cornell gives the crowd one final passionate, cathartic performance of one of the band’s very best songs.
