Chris Cornell Returns with Stunning Performance of “The Promise” on Fallon

Chris Cornell returned to the late night stage last night with “The Promise” on The Tonight Show. The song appears in the upcoming film of the same name starring Christian Bale and Oscar Isaac that chronicles the Armenian genocide.
Cornell teamed up with a full band that included his longtime bandmate Matt Cameron, fresh off of his Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction with Pearl Jam. Cameron and Cornell paired together in Soundgarden, a band surely not far from their own Rock Hall induction.
