On Sunday, My Morning Jacket’s fourth studio record Z celebrated its 10th anniversary. That album produced some of MMJ’s live staples that have stuck to this very day. Tunes like “Wordless Chorus,” “It Beats 4 U,” “Gideon,” “Off the Record” and the incredible “Dondante” all rank as some of the Louisville rockers’ best material on stage. The album itself also ranks as one of their finest studio pieces, as they polished their sound significantly to create the type of record we expect from them today. 

At the end of the Z tour, the band headlined San Francisco’s The Fillmore for two nights, ultimately producing the live concert film Okonokos, drawn from material over those two nights including a majority of Z. As the record turns ten, relive one of the finest periods in My Morning Jacket history with this two-hour live performance, showcasing the band at their best.
