Buckle Up for Umphrey’s McGee Playing “Wizard Burial Ground” at Summer Camp

February 27, 2017

Umphrey’s McGee’s “Wizard Burial Ground” is quite easily their most raucous of songs, living firmly at the intersection of speed and progressive metal. Like King Crimson and Frank Zappa teamed up to write a song in the vein of Metallica.

Combine that insanity with a full EDM-like stage production and you have complete auditory and visual overload, which is precisely what occurred at Summer Camp last year as the band strapped in for a 16-minute version of the song that included a foray into one of their more aggressive new originals, “Attachments.”
