Phish have announced that, after last night’s opening theme of coconut, night two of their Baker’s Dozen run at Madison Square Garden will feature a strawberry flavor theme, as the first fans into the venue will be offered strawberry milkshake-glazed donuts with a crumb topping. 

Last night’s theme saw the band open the show with a debut of “Shake Your Coconuts” by Junior Senior, reference the theme with “coconuts and chloroform” lyric in “Reba” and close the second set with an a cappella rendition of Harry Nilsson’s “Coconuts.” 

What will tonight bring? Some are suggesting The Beatles’ “Strawberry Fields Forever.” Possibly. Others are noting the “thick strawberry goo” in “Halley’s Comet.” Almost definitely. How about “Incense and Peppermints” by Strawberry Alarm Clock? Only time will tell.
