The best thing going on Dead & Company’s tour right now is the emergence of “China Doll” with lead vocalist Oteil Burbridge and it isn’t remotely close. 

Burbridge said back in May that he’d be signing lead at some point on tour and it took until the band’s show at Shoreline Amphitheatre for them to bust out a smooth, bluesy “China Doll’ with Burbridge taking the lead. I for one am entirely here for our new vocal overlord. 

Burbridge has been one of the steadying forces throughout Dead & Company’s existence so its great to see him getting a chance in the spotlight and even better to see him maximizing the opportunity. Here’s to more “China Doll”‘s in the setlist this summer.
