Samantha Fish‘s latest album, Belle of the West, will be released this Friday, November 3rd. This is her second record of the year following her well-received Chills & Fever  in which she recorded a set of  R&B covers with the Detroit Cobras.  Belle of the West finds her working once again with Luther Dickinson who produced the record at his family’s Zebra Ranch Studios in the North Hills of Mississippi. Guest players included Tikyra Jackson, Amy LaVere, Lightnin’ Malcolm, Lillie Mae, Jimbo Mathus, Trina Raimey and Shardé Thomas. Fish tells Relix, “I wanted to show people a different side of me with Belle of the West. I wanted to write songs that were deeply rooted in Americana and Blues, but it became such a personal record. I think people will feel that emotion, and connect to it.”
