Back in October Levy & The Oaks released their self-titled debut. The Asbury Park-based Americana quartet has revisited some of the material on that record for their five-song acoustic EP Out Of The Blue.

The band tells Relix, “As songwriters, almost all of our song ideas start on an acoustic guitar. It’s how we write. We wanted our listeners to have a chance to hear us in our most basic and purest form. This EP is a true representation of how we hear our songs before they evolve into full-band ‘studio’ performances. It’s as if these songs are straight out our personal diaries. Intimate, almost private in nature. We wanted to share that intimacy with our fans and hopefully make some new ones along the way. The EP is about finding and accepting yourself for who you truly are. It’s about choosing to change for the better, accepting love, and becoming a new. It’s about happiness and rebirth.”
