Album Premiere: Husky _Punchbuzz_

May 31, 2017

Indie folk duo Husky will release their new album Punchbuzz, on Friday, June 2 via Nevado Music. The Melbourne, Australia-based group, which features Husky Gawenda and Gideon Preiss, enlisted Matt Redlich (The Trouble with Templeton, Emma Louise) to produce and mix the album, which builds on Husky’s folk origins but expands their palette into more atmospheric realms. Gawenda tells Relix, “On Punchbuzz, the pace and overall feel is different to our previous work. We experimented with new sounds, new rhythms. I think in the past we played folk music because we had made this decision somewhere along the line that we were a folk band and we have always loved folk music. But this time around, we changed things up. We found a new kind of freedom. And with that came new territory and a new adventure for the band.”

Today we share the premiere stream of the new record, which is now available for pre-order.
