On June 30, Brushfire Records will release a new six song EP from G. Love & Special Sauce. The Sweet N Blues EP, which presents tracks originally recorded for the group’s Sugar album, will be available on 10” vinyl and digital and is currently available for pre-order. Today we premiere “Don’t Step In The Mud” from the forthcoming release. G Love tells Relix, “We recorded the bulk of the Sugar record in a six day live cutting session at Jack Johnson’s Solar Powered Plastic Plant in LA with producer Robert Carranza. We cut a good 15 tracks or so. Drummer Jeff Clemens had a good idea for a groove which he was wanting me to write lyrics for. I felt the instrumental spoke for itself so here it is a crunchy slide number with an overdubbed electric harmonica. Robert suggested we call it Don’t Step In The Mud. It Stuck.”
