Hi Andy.There is no such thing as .It is Gas Safe now.You won’t get a Gas Safe engineer to cncoent a boiler that an unqualified person has fitted.You have to be Gas Safe registered to work on a gas fitting and a flue.If your friend has fitted the boiler then they must have worked on the flue.This illegal.Why should a registered engineer come and put his name to an installation that has been fitted illegally.He is on a hiding to nothing.You won’t get it done.The thousand pounds is for him to take it down and start from scratch.BB.References :
