What a great translation of a simpler and possibly better time! I love the line “back when remember was just reminding.” Now, “remember” is digital photos, google searches and facebook updates. I’m hopeful that the rest of this record will be as outstanding as Clare has proven to me in the past with her live performances. A great artist to keep your eye on!

I can’t wait for Clare’s new record. I love her prior releases. This one will be significant due to its theme and link to family and history.

This is breathtakingly beautiful – a bit like Neko Case. Her voice is so smooth and surprising and I usually don’t dig things like this.

I wish I could put into words what this song does to me , it reaches a very deep and emotional level and does it with a simple beauty I seldom find in contemporary music .Heard Clare for the first time the other day on an NHPR interview and was blown away…. looked on the net for whatever else she had done and liked it all so I’m hooked on what’s here and looking for more .
