The new studio effort from Israel Nash is set for release on August 19 via Loose/Thirty Tigers. Nash self-produced Rain Plans and enlisted Ted Young (Sonic Youth, Kurt Vile) to record and mix the album. Today we premiere “He’s In The Woods Again,” which he recorded during the Rain Plans sessions but does not appear on the album. Nash explains, “‘He’s In The Woods Again’ is a song that would have been on Rain Plans, but the album was already cutting it close on time for a vinyl pressing. It’s a song about the art of wood turning and how much that applies to life. It’s about focus and obsession.” Rain Plans is now available for pre-order.

Israel Nash will take to the road in support of Rain Plans, starting on August 20, with the full dates below.
