Brothers Keeper: Todd Meadows

Abbe Ouziel on March 23, 2015

The three musicians at the core of Brothers Keeper have spent a majority of their careers on the road with various acts. Drummer John Michel and bassist Michael Jude have accompanied John Oates for the past 15 years accompanying, while guitarist Scott Rednor has recorded and toured nationally with various acts. Along the way, all three put down roots near Vail, Colo., which is where they began working together as a trio, honing their sound inside the bar/venue owned by Rednor. Brother’s Keeper’s debut, Todd Meadows, is a spirited and soulful compilation of songs featuring the talents of several other contributing musicians, including Blues Traveler’s John Popper and singer-songwriter Jono Manson, who add to the live feel of the album. Tracks like “Nothing To Do” and “Keep On Burning” seem to put you right inside Rednor’s Colorado bar.
