Elephant Revival: It’s Alive
Self-released
Bonnie Paine—one of the saintly voices in the Colorado quintet Elephant Revival—has described the band’s music as a healing therapy of sorts. The group has elaborated on that sentiment to produce this short EP. The first track “What’s That?” declares that the album is truly alive and for the next six songs, the listener knows it to be true. There isn’t a shortage of talent in this
group, which executes Celtic folk instrumentals (“Tam Lin Set”) as flawlessly as they pass along vocals between members. “Part of a Song” will leave the listener wanting more, and “Don’t Drift Too Far” will remind them to return.
