George Thorogood: Live in Boston, 1982

It’s not so hard to understand why George Thorogood would release a live concert from 1982—this is when he was at his peak. This set, recorded in Boston, is packed with raw energy that clearly vibrates between performer and audience—showcasing Thorogood’s gritty, blue-collar rocker attitude. He breaks out his best Chuck Berry and Bo Diddley riffs, along with blistering covers of Elmore James’ “Can’t Stop Lovin’” and John Lee Hooker’s “One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer.” It’s a fun, straight-ahead, rocking set, and a reminder of what Thorogood sounded like in his prime.
